August 7-8, 2010 Again for 2010! We will be hosting an adventure ride in conjunction with our dual sport. Bring your KTM 950 or BMW and enjoy more new adventures for 2010! Featuring some of the most twisty and secluded dirt roads in the northeast! Route is separate from the regular dual sport and geared toward adventure bikes. The Quarry Run D/S is a challenging event. More of a trail ride. The Blue Stone region of the Catskill Mountains lends itself to fantastic riding trail and road riding opportunities. The event is lightly marked, you will need a route sheet and odometer. The Quarry Run is a two day event, averaging 100 miles per day. You can ride as much or as little as you like. The Catskill Mountain region lends itself to fantastic riding opportunities, so our event is generally more of a trail ride than pure Dual Sport. If you ride a large adventure style motorcycle, are a beginner, or just prefer nice dirt roads you may have more fun on our adventure ride. A hearty lunch is supplied Saturday on the course route and Sunday after the ride the Hancock Fire Depatment serves their world famous roasted chicken free of charge. Please be respectful of the houses you pass by. Go slowly and give them a wave to let them know you appreciate the opportunity to ride in this area.
